History

In December of 1999, Mr. Arnold Nichols (Owner & Operator) created the idea for 2 Strikes Baseball.  This innovative concept was an inspiration that came out of years of coaching adolescent baseball players who were struggling to play the game.  Seeing firsthand how playing baseball affected a youth’s image of him/herself, Mr. Nichols thought he could develop a different style of the game that would create a more positive affect.

Mr. Nichols’ thought was that even the best baseball players strike out at the plate from time to time.  But the players that strike out the most are the ones who lose self-confidence in themselves and the will to compete the most.

Over the years, 2 Strikes Baseball has sponsored many youth baseball events.  The organization also collaborated with the County of  San Bernardino, Child and Family Services for seven years as a regular participant in the annual Sport Fair for foster youth.

The organization has been revamping its program and is now more streamlined and focused on the direction of operations.  The organization has chosen to provide services primarily to Riverside and San Bernardino County to children 14 to 18 years old.
